Musical Jam is an inclusive, interactive, relaxed, and social group music class that you can enjoy with your babies, preschoolers, and young kids under 6.
Karen Davitt is passionate about engaging humans of all ages in the fantastic benefits and fun playing and singing together brings. Her band ALL DAY FRITZ has been challenging ageism and bringing great interactive music for both adults and kids, to venues and festivals all across Australia for over a decade with regular gigs all over the country including Falls Festival, Arts Centre Melbourne and Melbourne Recital Centre. Karen is a certified children’s music class teacher who trained with “Music Together” and completed an internship and two years teaching with “Rhythm Tree”, and is now embarking on her own weekly group classes for La Mama for Kids. Musical Jam is a zero pressure class that encourages a musical community where kids and their adults engage at their own chosen pace, in singing, playing, and dancing, and there is always plenty of laughs.
Please note: We’re so pleased that due to popular demand this program has been extended, with two further blocks added – a three week and a four week. These will go on sale from Tuesday Oct 11. Tickets are sold per child attending for the entire block. This will be a small group class with 10 families max.
